The HPA 4000 is a headphone amplifier with eight stereo line inputs and one stereo output. It allows you to
monitor the output signal of any one of eight SR 4000 receivers on headphones. AKG offers suitable headphones for every application.
You can use the HPA 4000 as a standalone unit or install it in a 19" rack using the supplied rack mounting
kit.
The headphone amplifier provides inputs for up to eight SR 4000 or SR 450 receivers. It shall have an on/off switch, combined push/jog control, a 1/4" TRS jack for connecting a pair of headphones, and eight 1/4" jacks on the rear panel for connecting SR 4000 or SR 450 receivers using the supplied audio cables. An eight-LED bar shall indicate which channel is currently being monitored. A short push on the push/jog control shall select the input channel to be monitored and turning the control shall set the desired monitoring level. A long push shall mute the headphone output. The headphone amplifier shall include a rack mounting kit, operate on 12 VDC, measure 200 x 190 x 44 mm (WxHxD), and weigh approx. 800 g.
