VX-5 New |
|
The
Audix VX-5 is a stylish and innovative hand-held vocal condenser
microphone designed to handle a wide variety of live, studio and
broadcast applications. With a smooth frequency response of 40
Hz - 16.5 kHz (plus or minus 3 dB), the VX-5 features a 14mm gold
vapor diaphragm, a supercardioid polar pattern, a -10 dB pad, a
bass roll-off filter, an acoustically ported steel mesh grill screen,
and a rugged die cast zinc body. The Audix VX-5 will handle sound
pressure levels in excess of 140 dB (in the pad and roll-off position)
without distortion and will additionally provide over 20 dB of
ambient noise rejection for feedback control on live stages. The
VX-5 operates on phantom power of 9-52 volts and will achieve optimum
results when used with a high quality mic preamp. In addition to
vocal applications, the VX-5 is ideally suited to capture acoustic
instruments such as guitar, woodwinds, brass, percussion toys,
and drum overheads. and hi-hat.
Operation and Maintenance: Condenser microphones as a general rule are much more sensitive and reactive than dynamic microphones and should be handled with care. Avoid extreme temperatures wherever possible. Moisture and high humidity can adversely effect the performance of the microphone and cause permanent damage. For outdoor use consider using an outer foam windscreen to help reduce wind noise or popping. When not in use, please store your mic in the pouch or case provided at room temperature.

VX-10 |
The
Audix VX-10 is a true condenser microphone designed to set new
performance standards in the areas of live sound and broadcast
applications. With a smooth uniform response over a frequency
range of 40 – 20k Hz, the VX-10 is highly sensitive to
transient response and will reproduce vocals and speech with
exceptional detail and realism. The VX-10 will handle close miking
with minimal proximity effect and will not lose signal if the
user is slightly off-axis from the front of the microphone. A
cardioid pattern provides excellent gain before feedback and,
even with it's extended low end response, the VX-10 offers
sonic clarity without “boominess” in the lower mids – usually
difficult to attain with live vocals.
The VX-10 operates on phantom power of 48 – 52 volts and will achieve optimum results with a high quality mic preamp. Low noise electronic circuitry, low impedance, and balanced output allow interference-free performance even with long cable runs.
Capsule replacement: The VX-10 is designed with a field replaceable threaded capsule. For this reason, it is possible to carry spare capsules to insure against the unexpected. Simply unscrew the capsule in order to repair or replace. Call the Audix service department direct for any repair work.

SCX-25 |
The
Audix SCX-25 is a true condenser microphone with an elegant design
and a patented capsule suspension system. Uniquely shock mounted
within an intricate machined brass ring, the SCX-25 capsule is
completely isolated from the mic body and the electronics. By
successfully minimizing acoustic reflections and diffractions,
SCX-25 delivers a pure, open-air sound unlike any other microphone.
Delivering a smooth uniform frequency response from 20 Hz–20
kHz, the Audix SCX-25 will reproduce vocals and acoustic
instruments with exceptional detail and realism. The SCX-25 is
very consistent when responding to incoming off-axis signals,
exhibiting excellent phase coherence and minimal proximity effect.
By employing miniaturized low noise components, the preamp
circuitry for the SCX-25 is housed within a brass microphone
body which is merely 4 inches long. The result is the smallest
footprint of any large diaphragm microphone to date, allowing
the SCX-25 more convenience and freedom when it comes to mic
placement. And because of the internal capsule suspension mounting
system, the need for costly shock mounts is eliminated and set-up
time is greatly simplified.
The SCX-25 operates on phantom power
of 48–52 Volts. Optimum results will be achieved by using the SCX-25 with a high quality mic preamplifier and premium quality microphone cable.

- Studio vocals, lead and backing
- Voice over
- Choir
- Ambient room mic
