In the early 80's beyerdynamic succeeded in a sensational new development - headphones with an exceptional pulse behaviour were developed. Also the bass reflex system, which so far had only been applied for loudspeakers, was integrated into headphones for the first time in order to optimise the reproduction of low frequencies. Based on the "minimised mass technology" the DT 770 PRO and the DT 990 PRO were developed with even further reduced mass on the diaphragm and the moving coil. The continuing research and development over all the years contributed to the success of beyerdynamic products.

Triple-Neodymium stainless steel magnet systems based on minimised mass technology to increase the efficiency and to improve the frequency response, and the bass reflex technology to reproduce even the lowest frequencies without distortion.
