About Periscope Series Microphones
The Periscope™ High Definition Cardioid Microphone Series was originally designed for use as stand-mounted choir microphones. However, when top recording and live sound engineers saw these, they envisioned a whole new world of possibilities. They immediately realized that, with the 4-inch flexible neck and small microphone head, this High Definition Microphone™ could be positioned or placed where other microphones could not, such as under the strings of an acoustic bass.

They also saw that the microphone body could be placed parallel to the shell of a drum pointing straight up and the microphone could be pointed straight down at the drum head. The Periscope™ mics also allowed them to mic guitars and other instruments, then re-position the microphone without moving the stand or boom. These mics won instant favor. The Periscope microphones have the same incredible specifications as their respective 30kHz models in our popular SR and TC Series. Periscope™ microphones are available in black or white in omni, cardioid or hypercardioid models. Also available in matched pairs or multiple matched sets
