The Electro-Voice® PX2152 is a high efficiency 2-way loudspeaker system that is part of the Electro-Voice® Phoenix Series and is intended for high output sound reinforcement in fixed-installation and portable sound applications. The PX2152 is capable of being configured as either passive or biamp, and used fullrange or with a subwoofer for LF extension. The PX2152 uses two DVX3150 woofers, a high output 15-inch woofer with forced air cooling, in a vented enclosure. HF is delivered by dual ND2-16 compression drivers precisely summed in a manifold for increased power handling, maximum SPL, and low distortion. The very low distortion 60° x 45° horn provides the optimal coverage for medium throw, and is rotatable. Designed to be used as array elements, two PX2152’s can be arrayed together for 120° of horizontal coverage in the standard configuration, or 90° if the horns are rotated. The enclosure is constructed of 18- mm, 13-ply plywood, using tongue and groove joints and EVCoat for long term durability. The PX2152 is designed as a full range loudspeaker, and can be used with a PX2181 for maximum low frequency output. The enclosure shares the same footprint as other speakers in the Phoenix line for system flexibility.
