Electro-Voice Xi-2181A

The Electro-Voice® Xi-2181A and Xi-2181AF bass systems are part of the Xi-A series and are intended for high-level sound reinforcement for fixed-installation and touringsound applications. The Xi-2181A and Xi-2181AF are manifolded, vented-box bass systems utilizing two (2) EVX- 180B 457-mm (18-in.) woofers. The two woofers face each other in a manifold chamber at the center of the enclosure. This manifolding technique (U.S. Patent Number 4,733,749) increases the acoustic loading, resulting in increased low-frequency efficiency (at slightly above box tuning) and reduced distortion compared to conventional direct-radiating designs. These bass systems are part of the Xi-A series and are intended for high-level sound reinforcement for fixed-installation and touring-sound applications. The Xi-2181A(F) enclosure is constructed of 18-mm, 13-ply, birch plywood and is available in a black textured-paint finish. The flying system includes four fulltrack flying points (two on the top and two on the bottom). Both flying (Xi-2181AF) and non-flying (Xi-2181A) versions are available. The Xi-2181A(F) loudspeaker system is an ideal choice for any professional installation or regional touring application where accurate low-frequency sound reproduction at high sound-pressure levels is required. The Xi-2181A(F) with Dx38 Digital Signal Processor create the ideal solution to subwoofer applications where high acoustic power is required from 41 Hz to 210 Hz. The Xi- 2181A(F) is designed specifically to be used in conjunction with the full-range Xi-A systems (such as Xi-1122A/85, Xi- 1152A/64 & /94, Xi-1123A/106, Xi-2123A/106, Xi-1153A/64, Xi-1183A/64, Xi-2153A/64, Xi-1122MHA/64 and Xi- 2122MHA/42).
