Radial Pro48 Active Direct Box

The Radial Pro48 is a high-performance 48V phantom powered active direct box designed specifically for today's higher output instruments.

The Pro48's inovative digital switching power supply significantly increases headroom and allows for less distortion while yielding a smooth, linear response extending from 20Hz to well above 100kHz resulting in natural, uncolored signal transfer. This superior performance makes the Pro48 an ideal candidate for use with today's battery powered active basses and acoustic guitars that tend to overload other direct boxes.

The compact Pro48 is built road-ready with 14 gauge steel in Radial Engineering's unique book-end™ design that provides protective zones around the switches and connectors. Radial ProAV1 & ProAV2 Audio-Video DIs

The Radial ProAV1 and ProAV2 are passive direct boxes specifically developed with the audi-video integrator in mind. The ProAV1 has a variety of stereo inputs that are merged via a resistive mixer to mono, greatly simplifying signal management and the ProAV2 has full two-channel stereo functionality.

To eliminate the need for various adaptor, a 'Swiss Army' array of connections are provided. including 1/4" for instruments, RCA and 1/8" connectors for consumer electronics and computers and a +4dB XLR input(s) for professional systems. Front panel connectors can also be used as thru-puts to allow multiple patch points.

Custom wound transformers are employed that are able to withstand exceptionally hot levels while maintaining linearity from 20Hz to 18.5kHz. The resulting smooth Bessel curve is warm and natural, making the AV1 particularly adept at handling digital sources that can sound harsh. Transformer isolation adds the benefit of eliminating ground loops that cause audio hum and buzz and video hum bars or snow.

The ProAV1 is ideal for events that interlace audio with video where music sources can include iPods, CD players and video decks. The ProAV2 stereo version trades some of the connectivity features for it's full dual-channel stereo operation. Both ProAV1 and ProAV2 will be welcome additions to the AV technician's tool box.

Radial ProDI & ProD2

The Radial ProDI's are high-quality, full-range passive direct boxes equipped with custom made audio transformers for exceptional signal handling without saturation and with extremely low phase distortion in the critical bass and mid regions. Ultra-compact and made of 14 gauge steel, both ProDI models feature internal I-beam construction with a 'book-end' outer shell for extreme durability in the most demanding environments. Radial ProD8 Eight Channel Rackmount DI

The ProD8 is a high density rackmount 8-channel 19" direct box that is specifically designed to interface keyboards and pre-recorded backing tracks to the PA system with redundant inputs for live performance back-up.

The ProD8's input panel is equipped with two A-B ¼" inputs per DI channel for main and back-up sources, throughput for personal monitoring and an effects loop that allows both A-B sources to share the same effects for each channel. The output panel has a XLR connector, -15dB input pad selector and ground lift witch. A 180º polarity reverse switch is internally mounted and factory set with pin 2 hot. Completely passive, the ProD8 employs eight custom wound Radial transformers that are linear from 20Hz to 18kHz and able to withstand highly dynamic levels from sources such as digital samplers and drum machines without flinching. To reduce interference from outside magnetic fields, the transformers are equipped with a mu-metal-nickel outer shield thus reducing phase distortion to an absolute minimum.

For greater system setup flexibility, the Radial ProD8 features a reversible set of rack ears that allows the ¼" input panel or the XLR output panels to be position at the front or back, depending on the system engineers preference.

Reamping has been the 'secret weapon' for countless recordings by the biggest names in the business and the process is often used on guitars, bass, keyboards, percussion and even voice to create new textures! The Radial ProRMP is a 100% passive reamper that lets you to take a pre-recorded track and re-amplify it through a guitar amp or effects pedals to create new and exciting tones.

Plug and play easy to use, the ProRMP connects from the recorder to your amp and effects units and does all the impedance matching for you. Just adjust the level to suit!

The magic behind the ProRMP's great tone is a custom wound transformer that at once converts the balanced low-z source to a hi-z input for your amp while also acting as an electrical isolator to eliminate troublesome ground loops that can often cause buzz and hum in the sound.

Like all Radial products, the ProRMP is built tough! Encased in a 14 gauge steel, the ProRMP employs a unique book-end™ design with a welded I-beam frame that protects it from damage and assures the PC board and solder points will not be stressed, adding durability. A full-bottom no-slip pad works double duty by providing plenty of stay put while also eliminating electrical contact points from guitar amp chassis bolts that could cause ground loops.
